ENEnergy was established in 2006 as a direct result of a project established in 2005 to find viable renewable energy solutions. The scope of the project was to look at all renewable energy solutions to identify the best ones. All types of renewables were evaluated: solar, wind, waves, Fischer Tropch and many more.

Key Facts

Unused crops land in the US can produce 300,000 barrel per day of gasoline, but their consumption is 10 million a day.

Carbon Negativity

Our preferred biomass is Arundo Donax (ADx) with the following qualities

  • A cane crop that grows fast in the right conditions
  • An excellent feedstock for cellulosic biofuels, due to its great production yield
  • ADx will per hectar store approximately 600 tonnes of CO2 in total of which approximately 500 tonnes are permanently stored in the root system.
  • The 100 remaining tonnes will form part of the natural CO2 circle.
  • Due to the fast growth, the CO2 emitted by combustion of the fuels produced will recirculate into the new plants erected within 90 days from the former ones were cut down
  • Combined with the permanent storage in the root system, ENEnergy Production Process will actually be CO2-negative
